You are an ISFJ!

As an ISFJ, you are Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging.
This makes your primary focus on Introverted Sensing with Extraverted Feeling.

This is defined as a SJ personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Guardian (Security Seeking) type, and more specifically the Protectors or Nurturer.

In blogging, your journal will always be immaculate and have a touch of style. You may also feel overwhelmed because you want to be a part of everything going on. Because of your wonderful memory, other bloggers may come to you to ask about things you posted months before.

This is Who I Am!

Leave your information so others can read webpages of people with similar personality types!
Actually reading the description is pretty much right on target. Especially the part about being overwhelmed and wanting to be a part of everything. And just so happens I do have an excellent memory. Great quiz!
Allison on June 5, 2002 05:13 AM
It fits in pretty much every way. I'm a perfectionist, so anything I put on the web has to look just right. The part about wanting to be a part of everything is so very true. And I can remember the smallest, most insignificant things. Yay Kristine - great job!
Sara on June 5, 2002 08:57 AM
this is *very* right on the money!
ericalynn on June 5, 2002 01:31 PM
Yep, that's me. Anal ...but with style! :)
Jennifer on June 5, 2002 07:07 PM
Hits right on the spot! I am SO a perfectionist that everything has to be just perfect! Great quiz, Kristine!
Caroline on June 5, 2002 10:47 PM
Pretty close if not on the dot. Sweet.
jason on June 6, 2002 05:33 AM
pretty close indeed. odd. very odd.
caro on June 6, 2002 07:40 AM
I can't deny it... sounds like it was written just for me.
Hope on June 6, 2002 08:03 AM
Sounds just like me, especially the info under "Guardian" and "Protectors"!!
Shauna on June 6, 2002 10:19 AM
pretty schnazzy. sort of right on, but I'll have to read up on it a bit more. v. cool!
erika on June 6, 2002 12:04 PM
It seems a bit off, but not by much!
Jessica on June 6, 2002 02:02 PM
Sounds so much like me... amazing!! very cool test!!!
Lulu on June 6, 2002 02:40 PM
now that I've read through everything -- I'm kind of scared -- that was SO dead on!
erika on June 7, 2002 07:20 AM
I have to admit the test is pretty accurate. ISFJ and I'm sure of that. =)
pikey on June 9, 2002 01:35 AM
Amazingly accurate! I understand myself so much better now!
miss beth on June 11, 2002 02:38 PM
Wow. That was really interesting! I don't think I'm judging, but everything else is so accruate. Great Test.
Christi on July 3, 2002 11:00 AM
This hits me right on the nose i do act this way and i feel that yes their are alot of wonderful things that my memory has saved me from .
dalayna m. on July 29, 2002 05:45 PM
Hmmm. I took the Keirsey test some years ago and scored as a INTJ, so the SF result is a bit uncharacteristic, so to speak. I wonder if several years of coping with irrational people (who don't behave logically, so one can't really rely on logic to address the situations they cause) have twisted my personality a touch. *grin*
mechaieh on August 3, 2002 05:22 AM
This test is pretty accurate. Thank you. :)
Jasmin on August 5, 2002 02:38 PM
Sounds about right.
TMK on August 29, 2002 06:43 PM
Now I have to take the regular test to see if I'm an ISFJ there, or just in the blogging world...
srah on September 6, 2002 06:43 AM
Not bad for such a short test! It rated me as an ISFJ, but the full test calls me an ESFJ, which is *right* on the target. Not bad, not bad.
Jen on September 22, 2002 09:48 AM
ISFJ - Was kinda torn between the F and the T. But overall, ISFJ is totally me! I hope I can use this to help me learn faster!
Diana on September 27, 2002 03:37 AM
Yep, this is me.
Shawn on September 28, 2002 08:23 AM
So me.
Drea on September 30, 2002 05:01 AM
I doubt that I'll need to say anything. It fits me perfectly; introverted, sensing, feeling. Yay. Not to mention the wonderful memory.
Mae on October 8, 2002 07:04 PM
Yep I'm very sensitive and emotional.
Jennie on October 14, 2002 08:54 AM
i've always thought myself more an infj or infp..so this is a little different. i identify most with: "a rich inner world that is not usually obvious to observers. They constantly take in information about people and situations that is personally important to them, and store it away. This tremendous store of information is usually startlingly accurate.." and most of the rest!
mea on October 22, 2002 08:11 AM
Yes and no... I have the worst memory... but I am extremly introverted.
Vox on October 28, 2002 10:11 AM
Almost eerily accurate for a lot of it O_o
Rachel on November 7, 2002 10:16 PM
An amazingly accurate profile of me. A fascinating read... Makes you think.
Richelle on November 18, 2002 05:25 PM
taken this test before online .. and everytime i take it, its the same ... its me
cedars on November 18, 2002 06:03 PM
I'm very much a nurturer and love to have that added touch to all my posts.
vintage_novelty on November 29, 2002 07:57 AM
It does seem to describe me well... except the fabulous memory! I'd call it good, but not great!
Desiree on December 8, 2002 12:20 AM
Oh gosh, yep it's me. I already knew that I was in ISFJ. This is just the icing on the cake. Validation. ;)
Dana on December 8, 2002 06:29 AM
perfectly.
broad on January 6, 2003 07:26 PM
I've tested as ISFJ for a while, but I used to test as INFJ. I care a lot about the organization and the look of my blog. I prefer simple, clean designs with a good use of color. I definitely have a desire to be a part of things, which can lead to me feeling overwhelmed. Though I wouldn't call my memory great, it's pretty good, and I've had people comment on that in the past.
Brandy on January 7, 2003 02:39 PM
too accurate! lol
~Mel on January 12, 2003 10:46 PM
yep, right on. what is really funny is that i see a lot of people who's blogs i read are also isfj
jane on February 6, 2003 11:18 AM
I suppose it's true actually, it does seem to fit - I am .. well...all of those descriptions
Jenny on February 14, 2003 01:27 AM
It's pretty much on target!
Kat on February 25, 2003 07:01 PM
mhmm...pretty sure, yeah :)
Stephanie on February 26, 2003 09:38 AM
i alternate between an e and an i, but yeah, that's right on!
yoshi on March 2, 2003 01:14 PM
I'm completely an ISFJ.

ALIKE IN MANY POINTS--PROTECTOR--FAMILY VERY CENTRAL--FEW VERY CLOSE FRIENDS--JOB: CHURCH EXEC. SEC. FOR 18+ YRS.
SANDRA on March 13, 2003 05:38 PM
This is pretty close... except my blog isn't updated nearly as often as I would like it to...
eggman on March 17, 2003 07:15 AM
I aim to possess style in my blogging. It's another matter of achieving it. :P
psyche on April 5, 2003 01:22 AM

Lil on April 25, 2003 04:44 PM
Words fail me...
Jen on May 14, 2003 05:50 PM
I laughed out loud.....a good memory? ROFL! I can't remember ANYTHING! Oh well....

Ellie-Sama on June 24, 2003 07:58 AM
Right on target!!
darkly35 on July 9, 2003 05:13 PM
ISFJ. Hmmmm. I was skeptical at first, but after reading the description a couple of times, it's right on target! Cool!
Jimmy on July 11, 2003 06:28 AM
Almost disturbingly accurate. :-)
Jill on July 23, 2003 02:54 PM
It's perfect. I'm always in a confusion when there's lots going around me, and I have a great long term memory...
Britt on August 1, 2003 01:38 AM
Pretty neat! I do try to make sure everything is spelled correctly in my journal and that it's well laid-out. And I belong to far too many fandom things--Pern, Harry Potter, Star Trek. I should limit myself better, but I love them all. And I am a spelling Nazi. You need to correct 'extraverted' on this page. Sorry. *sheepish grin*
Chantal on August 11, 2003 09:07 AM
It's nice to finally know the real me!
Andrea on August 14, 2003 01:56 PM
I took this briggs-myers test many years back and was an ESFJ..i've now toned down into an ISFJ...
david on August 15, 2003 05:23 AM
I dunno... [haven't read much yet] I just find it odd that it's an "SJ" personality, and my first 2 initials are "SJ". @.@
Kari on August 28, 2003 07:35 PM
Am an ISFJ. Was on the money except for the memory part...
AlbinoWolf on August 28, 2003 11:23 PM
Wow, this is so scaring because all this perfectly fits on me! Fascinating....
Arashi on September 1, 2003 02:11 PM
maaan.. this is so me
smyn on September 4, 2003 06:47 PM
Alright, I can see where this is in the ballpark. But I'm not so sure about the judging thing.I'm openminded. Really! I am.
Brandi on September 6, 2003 02:03 AM
Fits me to a "T"
Liz maryland on September 25, 2003 08:19 AM
pretty close, excpet the immaculate part.
L on September 29, 2003 10:12 PM
just about everything
Christel on October 8, 2003 04:04 AM
Yep, that's me. I need to be part of everything. Style is important too...
Celainn on November 3, 2003 12:03 PM
Yeah, that sounds like me!
Emily on November 13, 2003 11:37 PM
this is freaky, dude. it's pretty much like me except for some things here and there
Lidia on November 14, 2003 05:46 PM
I feel myself as a protector, but I have nobody to protect...I use to feel overwhelmed by situations which I can't handle.I hapen to have a great memory, which often makes me suffer. I have difficulty in forgiving myself
francesco on November 20, 2003 03:42 AM
Sounds like me. I struggle with the judging part daily!
Patty Ann on November 21, 2003 11:31 AM
Sounds like me. I struggle with the judging part daily!
Patty Ann on November 21, 2003 11:31 AM
Sigh. Yes. Not certain every aspect of this pleases me, but that doesn't change the fact that it pegs me quite well...
Kim on November 29, 2003 08:12 PM
some of it is terribly accurate. well it's abit scary ...
wows on December 22, 2003 09:13 AM
umm...It is true that I wanted my blog to be immaculate and always want to be a part of everything going on but...I have a really poor memory which everyone who knows me knows about it.XD
Nareiko on December 28, 2003 11:26 PM
Most of it is true in a vague way, of course all of this is vague so people find them to be plausible by default. The truth is that I ended up debating which was a better choice, so I think my results are right AND THEN SOME.
paige on January 2, 2004 02:35 PM
I think this really describes me
Angela on January 3, 2004 01:07 PM
What can I say - it fits me to a tea.
Akeisha on January 5, 2004 03:22 PM
Somehow I'm an architect from one Jungian typology test and a guardian/counselor in this one. Methinks there needs be more questions.
Durran on January 19, 2004 10:44 PM
Wow, at first I thought the description kinda matched me, then I read the part on ISFJ's and relationships and it all fitted me completely!!
Helena on January 25, 2004 07:32 AM
How odd. Its me, and I would never have guessed. o0
Erin on January 25, 2004 11:49 AM
man! that was pretty deep. i'll have to definintely post about this.
ej on January 30, 2004 06:47 PM
I'm not sure this fits me. Part of the problem is I think I have a hard time answering the questions as I see myself rather than how I think others see me. Interesting, though.
Kelly Scanlan on February 5, 2004 07:11 AM
Everything I've read so far fits me to a T. Nurturer, family focused, excellent memory, working well one-on-one or in small groups, methodical. Wow.
Julie on February 10, 2004 02:32 PM
how come 98% of the ppl who take this test and end up here are females? are we naturally this way inclined, or is it mainly girls who take these tests? are all the guys over on the 'you are an insensitive clown' page?
wegglywoo on February 10, 2004 05:12 PM
right on the $$...kinda scary, actually :P
Julie on February 11, 2004 10:54 PM
I have been a CAREGIVER ALL MY LIFE, RIGHT ON. PEOPLE THAT I HAVE WORKED WITH AND LIVED WITH ALWAYS ASK ME WHERE SOMETHING IS BECAUSE I CAN REMEMBER. RIGHT ON
Linda Spreacker on February 13, 2004 06:12 AM
Actually, something that isn't stated in this description is that ISFJ's remember what is *important* to them -- not so much every little detail, but what matters most.
Cat on February 15, 2004 07:12 PM
yes, this is definately me. but i always find myself dreaming about being somewhere else instead of here in the norm. ignorance would be bliss afterall...
lorrance on February 26, 2004 12:18 AM
"Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging" spot on.
Darkstorm on March 9, 2004 04:10 PM
this was strangely accurate...
Tembleque Como Que on March 24, 2004 01:12 PM
"your journal will always be immaculate and have a touch of style" Yap, ISFJ :)
Gretch on March 31, 2004 09:46 AM
people do depend on my memory skills. I alos ocnsider how actions affect others.so the isfj is pretty accruate . ithink i toggle between infj and isfj.
chima on April 8, 2004 04:02 PM
Definitely ME, through and through!
Genie on April 9, 2004 01:52 PM
I have an awesome memory and I always want to be in the know! Great quiz! :)
Heather on April 14, 2004 03:22 PM
wow this actually fits me scarily well!
Bytchinny on April 23, 2004 11:00 PM
I agree with the test, however the career choices for an isfj freak me out. I work in TV!!! And why am I the only isfj guy?
that_guy on May 7, 2004 05:10 PM
couldn't believe how exact it was. even the few specifics that were off, the general rule for those specifics was exactly right!! really is AMAZING! everytone should see what they are, world would be a better, more understanding place!
Burton on May 11, 2004 12:10 AM
interesting...
dumblondegirl on June 1, 2004 03:28 AM
it's pretty on, I guess.
elizabeth on June 3, 2004 09:13 AM
Exactly.
Sarah on June 11, 2004 12:36 PM
Generaly spot on. The memory thing is interesting though - I can remember huge amounts of seemingly trivial stuff, right back from when I was a small kid. Things like wallpaper paterns and colours. I can recall entire conversations from years ago BUT forget to put the bin out or pay the window cleaner or even return the phone call I promised that morning! my memory can trip me up like that. I have a huge interest in so many subjects from history to fish keeping and can pull precise information about any of it at will, but I forget peoples names like almost instantly. I wonder if anyone else suffers the same?
Topaz on June 29, 2004 02:47 PM
holy crap! It's pretty darn close!
Natalie Marie on September 12, 2004 09:09 PM
this was so me!
mbrodie on September 13, 2004 11:38 AM
Yep, this is me. So right about under appriated at work, I remember tons of things noone else can, and I give all my extra time to the people I care about and love. To Topaz: I generally forget names too if they are not repeated to me several times.
Stephanie on September 21, 2004 10:58 AM
That is me. :0 help i'm a perfectionist.
rakesh on September 25, 2004 01:11 AM
fine
Valentijn on September 26, 2004 02:59 AM
This is possibly the most scarily accurate test I've ever taken!
Kate on September 26, 2004 11:00 AM
I try to be involved in everyone's posts and lives. I listen to peoples problems or take their ideas and incorperate them into the blog.
Kristy on October 21, 2004 10:08 PM
Hello to all. I'm an INTJ--I just felt you all cringe--LOL--I'm not mean--so no worries--BUT, my fiance is an ISFJ and it seems he has the feminine traits and I have the masculine traits (due to our personality type). To the male ISFJs on the list: if you have or had female friends/or lovers that were of the INTJ origin how do you all deal with someone like me? Are you willing to just accept this as my personality as I'm willing to accept anyone. Live and let live--just love one another. Why is it so hard for the ISFJ type to accept the INTJ? wsthomps@iupui.edu
Wanda on October 27, 2004 07:54 AM
Yep this is me ISFJ for sure minus the memory bit.....maybe it's by choice I chose to forget...
Maria on November 5, 2004 01:27 PM
I don't know about me being immaculate and stylish, but it's definitely what I aim for, put it that way!
scottie on November 6, 2004 09:42 PM
isfj... interesting result. seems accurate enough
daniel on November 10, 2004 11:05 PM

it just does :)
DJ_MD_The_Docotor_Of_Dance on November 26, 2004 08:28 AM
That is totally me! I am happy and sad at the same time. I'm partly sad, because I've been aware of my weaknesses, and its been a little challenging.
Jeff on December 7, 2004 03:01 PM
pretty much dead on ... i forget sometimes that these things can be strengths!
robyn on December 31, 2004 08:17 AM
Pretty much right on the $. I have always had such a good memory. I can remember details of conversations or events like they were yesterday nearly. I definitely want to be a part of everything going on, but unfortunately I'm extremely shy, so I am a total people watcher. I bet some people have probably thought I was some sort of freak watching so much. Oh yeah, and I'm bit of a perfectionist, although every-once-in-a-while I will let something slide. Looked on the relationships page: A LOT of that is true, except for a few things. One thing is in the "lover" part... I don't give, give, give... I want, want, want... But this "type" describes a lot of me, that's for sure.
Beth on February 15, 2005 05:35 PM
definitely fits me in ways. every personality test i've taken says the same thing. however the memory thing is a half-and-half. my memory is generally good when it comes to bad things happened, but i have troubles remembering pretty much everything else. my short-term memory is pretty crap as well. other than that small bit, everything fits right.
Tanya on April 28, 2005 09:57 AM
yes, this is exactly me. i've taken the Myers-Briggs personality test ... very cool!
Raven on May 14, 2005 07:20 PM
In the full-out Meyers Briggs, I tested out as ESFJ. Here I'm ISFJ - pretty close.
fiat lux on June 11, 2005 10:56 PM
Pretty close. Only thing that is off is the memory. Mine is terrible. I blame it on pregnancy. I used to have an awesome memory. 3 kids, 3 pregnancies and my memory gets progressively worse each time.
Liberty on July 1, 2005 04:34 PM
This is pretty accurate :)
Roxanne Zaad on July 1, 2005 04:44 PM
This is an accurate discription of me.

Apartment Number One on August 31, 2005 11:45 AM
pretty accurate. i like lots of structure! but i have the memory span of a goldfish :)
janine on October 2, 2005 03:21 AM
most ways. i do a lot of changing my html/css though and wonder what type would fit that.
ook on October 21, 2005 03:27 PM
I usually get this score, but, i find that when I am writing in my journal (not the blog) I easily switch to ISTJ. Weird. I was also looking over in the corner at the different stats, wondering why the extroverts were so few, but then it dawned on me, extroverts are out meeting people. Their favorite place to be is probably not online! I have been resistant to becoming a nurse for years, but ever single career assessment I take "nurse" always comes up. I love being an ISFJ
willowtree on October 22, 2005 07:10 AM
25 years ago, I tested as an INFJ. Recently, I have been testing as an INSJ. Wonder what that means?? Will have to compare the two.
Patrice on October 22, 2005 09:34 AM
geez. quite true indeed. :-p
aiRah on October 23, 2005 06:33 PM
I think this only half fits my personality

Nice! I think I just found out what my real personality is. Now I know myself much better :)
Pikori on December 1, 2005 03:24 AM
great test! Fits me well :)
dhruvx on December 15, 2005 10:49 AM
Hmmm, ISFJ, versus my regular INFJ or INFP. Figures - anal future-lawyer-history-major-oh-my-god-where-are-the-footnotes-in-this-book type here. ;D
j!! on January 9, 2006 11:40 AM
As a male ISFJ, I think the feeling type goes against the typical male sterotype. Has any of the males feel they need to be different while at work then say at home. Rick
Rick on February 8, 2006 03:35 PM
Ya, um...I guess it fits me. It's 6AM so I am half asleep.
Rainy on February 21, 2006 03:15 AM
i hate to say this, but it seems to me that this type is the most submissive and depressing personality type of all. did you check out the jobs they have listed under isfj... i feel sorry for all the guys who are born as this type.
sky on March 18, 2006 04:17 PM
every way is it like me...hey, i'm even a nurse!!!
jessica on March 23, 2006 08:12 AM
I'm an ISFJ female, having this personality type is so depressing.I was wondering do any of you guys out there talk to yourselves out loud I do. Please be honest I feel like I'm the only one
Misty on April 25, 2006 04:57 PM
i love being me :) it's great having a ton of interests and i do enjoy talking to myself.. hehe.. it's good to be different! as an isfj i need to remember that it's ok to show off sometimes!
Jeanette on June 11, 2006 07:35 PM
Right on the dot! I was quite shocked, actually!
Meowminx on June 24, 2006 01:15 PM
An ISFJ huh? Scarily accurate apart from the 'memory' bit. I have a brain like a colander but everything else - spot on!
Mark on July 18, 2006 05:20 PM
I'm really here. I thought I am on ISTP. But, really this one fits more than the other one.:D except of course with the memory aspect..
Aura Serene on July 25, 2006 07:27 AM
at least i now know theres a name for the way i feel and think. my memory on things that happend in the past is on point.and i rather listen to other peoples life then share what i went through or going through.
irv on November 5, 2006 09:02 AM
it's way too accurate. sometimes it si completely exhausting to be an ISFJ...emotionally and physically. i have to remember to ask for help from others and that it's ok.
Marcy on November 21, 2006 01:50 PM
I'm an ISFJ, which is a pretty good description overall. As my teacher says, "The introverted people are your writers." Yup. :D
Elise on November 27, 2006 02:31 PM
sad but true!
Kala on December 3, 2006 01:54 PM
i'm an isfj but the description doesn't fit me well. the internet descriptions suck. whats important is that you know you're more on the introverted, sensing, feeling and judging. the INFJ description really fits me minus using the intuition and poetic part but I believe i'm an isfj.
janelle on April 21, 2007 06:13 AM

I would rather have a very tiny blog that's done to my satisfaction, and be able to do it once a day... fun quiz!

I'm an male ISFJ. From what I've read less than 10% of the population are ISFJs, and based on the response here it seems that few of them are guys. A minute minority.

I recently took the Myers-Briggs Personality Test and its results were outlined as follows: Introverted 56%, Sensing 38%, Feeling 38% and Judging 67%. In a word, wow! I didn't expect the scale to weigh in at these levels, but they are true to my personality in so many ways!

ISFJ is definitely me.

Just took the test and everything, especially need to be needed and desire to serve others fits me very well. Also feeling like I need recognition for things, but rarely saying so because of the want to please others.
