You are an ENFP!

As an ENFP, you are Extraverted, iNtuative, Feeling , Perceiving.
This makes your primary focus on Extraverted Intuition with Introverted Feeling.

This is defined as a NF personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Idealist (Identity Seeking) type, and more specifically the Champions or Inspirer.

As a weblogger, you may not be consistant in posts. Although, if you find a specific focus on their journal or a very flexible manner of writing, it may be more fufilling. Because you are warm and see so many posibilities in life, you may inspire others to follow in your footsteps with a journal.

This is Who I Am!

Leave your information so others can read webpages of people with similar personality types!
I'd say that's pretty close to how people describe me...
robyn on June 4, 2002 08:59 PM
I'm definitely not consistant in posts, the type of post I write varies constantly. Being emotional and using my intiuition match too!
alysha on June 4, 2002 10:11 PM
every way.
hoopty on June 4, 2002 11:36 PM
Yep, ENFP through & through...
Christine on June 5, 2002 01:37 AM
Definitely ENFP... anyone who can find time to talk to at least 50 friends at parties must be!
Tina on June 5, 2002 05:53 AM
Uh yeah...duh
Amytart on June 5, 2002 06:42 AM
Yeap. I'll take that one. Fits me purdy good. =)
Jen on June 5, 2002 10:50 AM
This fits me best out of all of the bloginalities.. Although some stuff isn't RIGHT on the button, it's pretty darn close.
adam on June 5, 2002 10:58 AM
Only a couple of the descriptions within a couple categories didn't quite fit. The rest was right on.
Steve on June 5, 2002 12:26 PM
Neat!
Monkey on June 5, 2002 08:30 PM
I do personality tests. There's no clearer ENFP symptom.
Dervala on June 6, 2002 09:20 AM
This is me in every which way possible! Hardcore ENFP all the way!
enoelie on June 6, 2002 12:32 PM
That's me. Was obsessed with my blog at first, now i have to remind myself to post. More obsessed with the stats than what i'm writing! Heh.
zilla369 on June 6, 2002 12:40 PM
I like cheese.

oh. i am the hostess with the mostess. (just forget that dolly madison)
helen jane on June 6, 2002 03:04 PM
I'm not the least bit surprised, I took the Myers-Briggs around 10 years ago, and it told me the same thing. ;) hee!
skits on June 6, 2002 04:00 PM
In every way! I've always been the "Champion" archetype, ENFP baby!
Misty on June 6, 2002 07:46 PM
ENFP. Well, I do weep like a redheaded stepchild whenever plans go awry.
Linus on June 7, 2002 09:19 AM
such an ENFP. well. almost ENTP too. but definitely ENxP either way!
Erika on June 8, 2002 12:06 PM
Yep. :) That's me all right. I'd rather be the the other way, but It's to hard :)
witchy on June 8, 2002 12:53 PM
I can't say that I am a 100% ENFP. The questions aren't mutually exclusive and I find traces of me in both sides of every question.
Johnny T on June 10, 2002 12:32 PM
I can't say that I am a 100% ENFP. The questions aren't mutually exclusive and I find traces of me in both sides of every question.
Johnny T on June 10, 2002 12:32 PM
This is the "reporter's personality." I prefer this the most, but when I write I become introverted and more INFP. In working, I am ENTP or ENTJ. When sleeping, I'm ZZZZ!
Raymond on June 11, 2002 05:33 AM
ENFP sure sounds like me.
photojunkie on June 11, 2002 10:23 PM
Yup, this is pretty dead on, since I tend to "think" with my heart instead of my head. But I'm also more *intro*verted than *extro*verted, so that part kind of threw me off...
alexandra on June 12, 2002 06:05 PM
The extroverted part is definite, but inconsistent in posting is not accurate. I could have answered the last two questions either way.
rvaughn on June 13, 2002 10:17 AM
I usually test ENFP. Sometimes INFP. The Champion thing sure fits.;)
chris on June 13, 2002 05:32 PM
Oh, taking this only solidified the fact that I come up ENFP... keirsey.com has a more thorough test... but this one is free :)
glenda on June 13, 2002 09:57 PM
And to think, I'm married to an ISTJ!
Sandi* Pantalon on July 6, 2002 10:05 PM
This is pretty right on about me. :-)
Ben on July 13, 2002 09:15 AM

Sharee on July 16, 2002 11:42 AM
That's pretty close baybee
Diva on July 28, 2002 07:47 PM
I'm married to an ISTJ too! But this is definitely my type... Meyers-Briggs came up the same.
D. on August 1, 2002 07:04 PM
yeah, i took a similar test when i was a HS freshman (just graduated this year), and i'm still an ENFP--no plans for me--everything is on the fly. that's the way to live life!
dintendo on August 2, 2002 11:55 PM
Outgoing, funloving, enthusiastic champion of people. Leader, visionary, passionate about my ideas of what can be and helping others achieve it. Not at all good on follow-thru, easily distractible (look! a bird!) but not ditzy. Am in an openly non-monogamous committed long-term cohabitating relationship (we Ps do like to have options!) with an INTJ, one of the two predicted as most compatible. Being often dogged by my own procrastination, my partner and I joke that "my P-ness" is showing.
Anita on August 6, 2002 02:48 PM
I'm a goddamn idealist? Great...now I'll never get a job.
tom on August 7, 2002 01:43 PM
I'm an ENFP whose organizing principle is teaching others how to fly like the poets dreamt not the engineers designed.
jasciu on August 11, 2002 09:53 AM
Fits me 100 percent in ALL ways. I'm proud to be an ENFP! ;)
Bev on August 16, 2002 03:11 AM

oh, I am so an ENFP. it's all about me, me, me!
starmama on August 27, 2002 02:23 AM
Is this changes? Well, I was ENTJ before...
Lolly on September 7, 2002 05:34 AM
I can't hold down my dull jobs, so I contract out. I can't hold down my relationships so I have lots. I have loads of friends non of whom think I am normal but all of whom would not dare leave me off the invite list for their parties.
Andy on September 10, 2002 11:11 AM
It's funny how personality changes. Some time ago I was INFP, now ENFP.
samik on September 12, 2002 06:20 AM
I am an absent-minded profesoress. Jack of all trades, master of none. This test confused me because I am a little of everything, but I took another elsewhere and it says I am an ENFP... As outgoing and persuasive as I am, I know that ENFP is me. I have ENTP too (I think too much).
Candace on September 12, 2002 11:18 AM
yea. pretty right on. i love the option "loves to start projects" against the "loves to finish projects" i SOOOo love starting projects.. and never can get them finished! ahhh!

this is me for sure....and i am searching for an intj mastermind to be my girlfriend, yes, girlfriend
laura on September 19, 2002 11:57 AM
oh, you mean these aren't flaws??? They're actually "character traits"? How cool is that..though I suspected as much right along...I'm hardcore ENFP..on MBTI only one question strayed from the profile....and I'm looking for an istp male who's looking
helene on September 23, 2002 02:06 PM
lol, most ENFP descriptions fit me to a T
sapphirebelle on September 29, 2002 08:01 AM
Dear God~ Will I ever be organized?? 100% ENFP right here. Are NTJ's really the best way to go for us-- I don't personally think so.. then again.. they just don't have enough options for me... to organized? :P
Amy on September 30, 2002 06:57 AM
The test you just took is lame. MBTI is linear. Is this person E or I? ... E. Is this person T or F? ... T, etc. This linear approach does not always work. People are not linear. What about introverted Extroverts and extroverted Introverts? It also does not take into account why some people project themselves differently from their type. Why do some T people want to appear F or why some S people want to look N, etc.? This linear approach would be flawless if we were robots, but we are not. A typical Western person would normally prefer to be told about themselves by someone, rather than spending time to discover themselves on their own. This is the way of MBTI not Socionics.
JB Lovecraft on October 1, 2002 10:52 PM
definately disorganized. definately capable of organizing chaos...if I have to...definately quick to move on to new things when I get bored. definately into journalism and politics...definately a fabu host...definately too theoretical...I'm so and ENFP

Lawdy, lawdy. That's so me!
Lauren on November 4, 2002 02:18 PM
I'm diffinently a "champion" :) In fact, I would have to say that 95% of what everything says about an ENFP is me :)
witchy on November 11, 2002 07:46 PM
My my my. ENFP. Inspiring, huh? So that's why several of my buddies started their own blogs after reading mine ...
Kate on November 13, 2002 11:40 AM
I am a beautiful and unique snowflake...just like the rest of you.
Danni on November 20, 2002 01:19 AM

Brian on November 20, 2002 03:06 PM
ENFP: Totally me, some things I didn't agree with, but for the most part it was a perfect fit :)
Nero on December 1, 2002 05:09 PM
the results of this test were extremely accurate in assessing my personality. I am definitely unique--It fascinated me to learn that this TYPE only constitutes 5-10% of the population!!!
Tamara on December 1, 2002 07:06 PM
Well, my MB test says I'm an INFP, now this says ENFP. I guess being an extrovert/introvert depends on the situation. Pretty accurate, though.
Barry on December 4, 2002 10:30 AM
wow this was bang right on. :)
Andrea R on December 6, 2002 06:56 AM
Hmmm, I took the Keirsey Personality Sorter once at university and was an ENFP, but I took it about a year ago, and was an ENFJ. On this one, I again was an ENFP. I think they really both fit me very well, perhaps the ENFP more so. What do you know?
greengrl on December 8, 2002 06:16 PM
It's true that I'm an erratic blogger. Some days my grey matter doesn't feel like being exposed. I'm not sure about inspiring people. Seasons Greetings.

I'm a ENFP with borderline ENTP. I love who I am but find it difficult to function at times.
Nicodemus on January 21, 2003 09:52 AM
gee, considering i post daily and im aparently a ENTP...i cant say i think this be too accurate...
soshika on January 24, 2003 11:43 AM
Gee...Why does this NOT surprise me?! ;) Although most would consider me not an extravert but an ambivert... go figure...
Kitten Black on February 6, 2003 11:20 PM
That fits me... I knew that already, but it's really something being told by... the Web!
Zu on February 8, 2003 01:24 PM
This was like a mirror of my soul. I am so amazed to read all about myself and understand my quirks and foibles and still believe I am worthy of love! I'm learning to appreciate my disorganized, creative, fun, finicky, fresh, and fascinating life!
Heather on February 8, 2003 08:40 PM
I'm a really outgoing person, and I do let my feelings make decisions for me

Oedalis on February 11, 2003 05:53 AM

Jephro on February 14, 2003 06:15 PM
I've been tested ENFP before. It must be true. I'm a little more complex than that though, but then again, so are most of us I guess.
Gunnar Langemark on February 17, 2003 09:26 AM
So I tested as INFP/ENFP, does anyone know the percentages for that? I mean, both?
Trigatti on February 17, 2003 02:30 PM
I've tested INFP(as apparently so have quite a few others as evidenced by the preceding messages) but now I'm an ENFP. Since I am definitely more extroverted; I think ENFP describes me best!
MeganP on February 17, 2003 05:50 PM
i thought knowing who I was would answer and solve alot of my problems. While it fascinated me and made me smile ,It just made me more aware of the intence emotional spin I put on and invovle my life with.smiles at that with a few tears.....

I can not stop looking at career options of what I could do. Funny thing is....I start going for them to but then I doubt myself and look for another one. I probably have researched a hundred or more options. The possibilities of life from career, relationships, fun etc... almost become a preoccupation.

Website said i was efnp. Who knows. However, it surprises me that many of you have dove in head first with this because nothing in life is black and white. I'm looking at this page and most of you are readily pigeonholing yourself into these arbitrary categories which are defined by extremly rigid guidelines. I like the nice things enfp descriptions have to say about me, but if you are truly whatever an "enfp" is, wouldn't you be a little hesitant to classify yourself according to a theory requires conforming and being filed into strict & simple categories ? How is that deep, abstract, global, etc? Just take it with a grain of salt, guys. Its not a science. These tests are in Cosmo for crying out loud.

I'm outgoing and sociable, warm & enthusiastic w/ great potential in life; creative and unique, unconventional, somewhat openminded; have an uncanny sense of humour (I make ppl laugh unconciously); others comment about me having a vivid imagination (esp when telling amusing stories that makes my friends laugh like crazy!); I've got an abstract speech and am outstanding at figures; start projects very well, but have difficulty following through; I tend to contridict myself when talking to others and act too impulsive and energetic. I am extremely talkative and am the last one to keep my mouth shut in a group; being solo's not a thing for me and I dislike routine (the same old shit!). This personality is most probably the one that's closest to me. I'm also very right brain dominant and am left handed!

Well howdy doody. . . I am an ENFP but, liken some of the guys here I can get quite introspective and enjoy solitude -- to recover from talking too much all the time! I have never been able to concentrate on one thing for too long. The need for distraction and variety can become overwhelming when I start feeling bored. I reckon ENFPs bring humour, curiosity and kindness to the world. You know it's true, people. . .

The Buddha was asked: "To what extent can a person be a speaker of the way?" He answered: "If a person teaches the way in order to transcend the tyranny of material things and to teach how to transcend feelings, perceptions, impulses, and consciousness--teaching nonattachment with regard to these--then that person can be called a speaker of the way. If he is himself trying to transcend the pull of the material world and to feel nonattachment toward it, then it is fitting to say he is living in accordance with the way. If he is liberated by this transcendence and nonattachment, then you can say he has found nirvana here and now. -Samyutta Nikaya

I am an ENFP because I am tall & gentle & complex, I tend to get bored & distracted in jobs which require constant attention to detai and jobs which are monotonous. Sometimes I will have trouble coming up with something to say to somebody I run into and I will have to kick myself (speaking metaphorically as an "N" does),particularly after a day without social stimulation (being at work) but sometimes I will have a case of verbal diarrhoea. I am these things rolled into 1 :- reserved - outspoken crazy - calm tested I.Q. - 127 Tested E.Q. - 132 Quiet - Motormouth Manic-Depressive Like being alone- social butterfly write a lot - at times speak as much as I write Annoying & irritating 8 years ago I suffered severe depression and became an ISTJ , I :- criticized everything & everybody(including myself), Lost sight of the big picture, alienated myself and everyone else, lacked spontenaiety, lacked forgiveness for others. I am well now as back then I was mentally sick , anti depressants fixed that over 2 years.

I had six jobs in a year and a half. But that actually helped me get a better job, so switching gears isn't always bad. Fun stuff!
Julie on October 26, 2005 01:51 PM
i think ENFP fits me allrite bc at least it wasnt anything worse right?....=]

I am a complete ENFP! I am extremely outgoing and love to be around diiferent types of people doing new things. I get bored very easily and I'm always looking for the next adventure, job, guy, etc. I also like to talk about myself (hence my blog) because I think I have some great stories to tell.
Karri on November 30, 2005 09:52 AM
I was blown away by the accuracy.
Cabe on December 2, 2005 12:42 AM

Its correct. I currently have 3 guys and have never stayed with one for a long time. Always changing my job. Always outgoing.

Like everyone else here, I think this pretty much described not only my journalling style, but my personality style as well. I took the Myers Briggs test ages ago and it said the same thing. I've kept a blog/journal for about six years now, I think, and it's interesting to see that I have so much in common with all of these other people; extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and perceiving is definitely how I would describe myself. Vewwwy interesting ; ) Come by and play. Happy Holidays Everyone. Big friendly hugs, Jacqui
jacqui on December 17, 2005 09:53 PM
being an ENFP makes me so happy. ;_; But I don't always get along with everyone...I just can't stand to be away from people. Being alone feels...like being dead. I don't get along with my parents because of my type I think. And I always try to get out of everything. And I am not always so happy...like when I think of the fact i'm not likely to see my friends from high school again after we've moved on with our lives. I don't have enough achievement because I always feel like i'll somehow survive so it's ok. I feel like i'm just floating around being with people. I like to real stories about peoples lives and also fictional stories. I like the stuff of fantasy. I wish I lived in a fantasy world where everything was interesting. Life is to live in your dreams...no matter how crazy they are. Because a beautiful dream is better than a boring reality. My dad says "you are only one person..you can't change things"...but I can be like a drop in a puddle sending ripples throughout the world. This world can change..it needs to. Oddly...one of my fantasies is to become a celebrity. I love to act. I would love to be an actor with fame and influence. But it's so hard to get into Hollywood. I like art and to draw..but I don't want to be a starving artist. Oh well...I'll do whatever makes me happy. lol, I sound like an escapist but I don't have a whole lot to escape.
Joshua on December 21, 2005 11:16 PM
First off I want to point out how accurate this small test is. I've taken the actual Myers Briggs Test through the Navy. And doing this one just emphazized more that I am truly an ENFP. An Example of how it fits me. We were sitting in a classroom setting in the chapel on base. In a course called Bearings. There's four of us in the class who have become pretty good friends in the last 2 days all sitting next to each other, planning a spur of the moment party, for that night. Come to find out when the chaplain gave us back our personality test results all 4 of us were ENFP. Were spur of the moment people, alway's wanting to have a good time, turning chorres and work into games to make it more fun.
Tina on January 2, 2006 11:38 PM
The ENFP is basically me in a bucket. One one hand it kinda sucks that my persona is so generic it can be catagorized into a "type", on the other hand, its so freakishly right on you can't help but want to study it!
Kasie on January 5, 2006 11:05 AM
This is defiantly me. While I blog every night, it's always about something different, some random thing that's going on in my life.
krome.obsession on January 10, 2006 05:44 AM
I've taken this test many times, and I'm usually right on the border between ENFP and INFP, but just on the extravert side. In other words, I want to go to all the parties, but am not outgoing enough to throw them myself.
Monica on January 10, 2006 12:02 PM
All that optimism and seeing the best in people. Also future-orientation and finding it hard to finish dull tasks. But I can enjoy my own space, so I'm borderline E/I (even though everyone thinks I'm extremely E). I also need to achieve, so that makes me finish things more than I otherwise would. But Josh, don't listen - -one person can do SO much. And when you're ENFP, all the advice is 'You Can Do Whatever Excites You!' So go for it, man!!! You can be more than a drop - you can be a torrent of influence if you decide to!
David on January 31, 2006 09:18 AM

Sonika on March 16, 2006 12:20 AM
Definitely an ENFP. I am in love with ideas and starting projects but have a hard time following them to the end. I am just starting a blog and I think the advice is good for me to stick to my style of writing as opposed to trying to make it more planned and orderly. Not only was it fun but it provided an answer I was looking for this evening. I took this test quite a few years ago in a college class. While it is a great personality type to be it also has its down side and that is following through and seeing tasks to completion. Now I must focus, focus, focus...focus on the task at hand - blogging.

To quote the immortal words of Ace Ventura, Eeeeeeelikeaglove!!!! But why? Why am I an ENFP? I always end up making my relationships toxic. I thought maybe I was nuts. Just an ENFP in action . . .
Leanne on May 29, 2006 02:38 PM
EnFp fits because I am the sensitive freak that notices people before I notice the mundane.
kelli on June 1, 2006 06:52 PM
Well it is funny .. they say statistically only less than 20 % of people falls into all 8 iNtuitional grups, and all the rest are Sensing. Not according to this site, where iNtuitionals are in majority. Does it means we are more into this things so we found this site and Sensers didn't?

Everytime I've ever taken this personality test, it comes up the same. ENFP. It's SO ME. I do try to blog at least once a day, but sometimes skip a day or two, or maybe blog twice in a day. If I skip a few days, people will email and ask "are you okay?" It's bizarre.
KansasSunflower on July 9, 2006 06:23 AM
After reading about Jung's character definitions I was interested to see how this could be applied to a blog...as an ENFP, I shall now go away and assess. In the meantime, leave me lots of comments on my blog to tell me how great it is. After all, I am demanding and need constant recognition!! :)
Amanda on August 17, 2006 08:28 AM

I just spend a few hours getting reacquainted with the Meyers-Briggs test, and I'm consistantly either ENFP or INFP - which makes sense, as the intuitive, feeling and percieving part of me doesn't particularly like consistancy!! :-)
krabat on October 26, 2006 03:39 PM
Someone please email me - I'm a hardcore, hopeless ENFP and can't seem to keep a job - I dont' want to always be poor! What can I do? Is there any workplace that doesn't crush the ENFP spirit??? I want to work hard, but not routine - and I'm in a good ENFP profession - teaching, but it's biology (with labs!) - maybe that's the problem. Are there any ENFP's out there who have been able to be successful in the professional world? sarinasinghi@hotmail.com
Sarina on January 19, 2007 08:53 PM
I am spontaneous , flexible , friendly ,intuitive & fun loving
Russell on February 21, 2007 08:30 PM
I am an ENFP and I have been having trouble sourcing employment as an electrician locally in my region in Australia. I keep getting caught up in the bureaucracy & politics of seeminly every industry I work at , I have been working under contract for a few years and I'm like Sarina in the way I don't want to be poor. My work style is spontaneous , flexible and fast paced , mainly because I get bored "very easily" , I use mu intuition on the job and people (including myself) can't work out how I do things , perhaps it is because I am more messy & disorganized but it allows me to get the job done quicker . I am more practical and that perhaps makes me less methodical , making me get jobs done quicker. I have clashes with supervisors who are more logical & analytical and try to keep me under their thumb , this is an impossibility so when the contracts run out , they get rid of me & never call me back. I do "STICK OUT" of the crowd whereas others prefer me to "BLEND IN". Is there any other technical profession that an ENFP has gotten into and been successful at? or do they mainly focus on people oriented jobs? Please E-mail me on Russell_L_B@hotmail.com
Russell on February 21, 2007 08:39 PM
I am an ENFP too. This type is called a lot of cool things: "Charmer", "champion", "Inspirer","Dreamer"...Way cool.
Angel Valdez on May 9, 2007 09:44 PM
Dude, it sucked being an ENFP with social anxiety. But getting over that will help me be the ENFP I am totally awesome at being. It makes me so proud to read these descriptions... :) Um, I'm kind of scared. There are about 500 people here posting... and we're all the same...
Denyse on August 28, 2007 02:25 AM
Amazing, now I understand my whole life up to this point. The inspired project-starting, the procrastination, all the ideas, the "silly switch", the need to be in the center and the man of the hour. It all fits.
Johnny on August 30, 2007 07:55 AM
ENFP fits me in every way except: I'm not fickle in relationships - I simply get infatuated easily and just stick to that person (until I am misunderstood and we break up!). Rather than run from conflict, I prefer to solve them on the spot - I enjoy being happy too much to harbor tension inside. Also, I usually make decisions easily - I'm not afraid to make mistakes, I can find the good in most things, and I am adaptable - I can sell myself and others on almost anything, no matter what happens!
Mark on September 26, 2007 09:37 AM
It's crazy how much this fits me! I love going out and being active. I love hosting parties and having a good time. Crowds don't bother me at all. The more the merrier is how I've always felt....this is nuts how close this is to describing me...
David on September 27, 2007 09:01 AM
Although it fits for the most part, I did notice that I had to read each box of questions and pick which one had more that applied. For example, I am often in the center of the party but taking snap shots of others and I run back and forth between center and fixing stuff up and enjoy the setting up parts as well as the socailizing. Pretty right on though.
Sherry on October 8, 2007 06:02 PM

As an ENFP I think it's funny how we're all looking up this stuff in the morning when most of us should be working. Just our curious nature I guess.....
david on October 15, 2007 11:12 AM
I'm an ENFP! And it fits me perfectly. Also scored as a Strategic/Adaptabilitiy/Intellection/Input/Ideation person on my StrengthsFinder test.
Eric on October 15, 2007 10:02 PM
ENFP & proud of it. Funny how many of those more organized, stodgy, controlling types who dismiss us as ditzy... just can't seem to resist us! Which begs the question, "Who's controlling who???"
Charlotte on October 28, 2007 02:20 PM
Everything is right on the money... people person for real (can't stop talkin to strangers), always can figure out most things with just one piece of the puzzle, stay following my heart ( leading me astray, either wham bam thank you mame or I'm in for the long road to heartbreak), very perceptive and objective and too understanding/empathetic.Everyone tells me all their problems and of course I'm Miss Fix-it.Yeah, Idealist all the way!

Mie on June 16, 2009 10:52 PM
wahahahahaha... this is really funny to read all the ENFP's comments here... I'm the one who torn between INFP , INTP and ENFP. But it's OK.. hahahah.. I like being balance... When I got to be social I choose being ENFP, but when I have to do my work as designer, which need consistency , make strong concept and detail oriented, I choose the INTP mode. But sometimes, in the middle of my life when I think about all the things that I cannot achieve, I become INFP. But no longer... I switch again!! I think I'm a really complex person.. Bwahahahah...
