As an ENFJ I have learned why I can be such a double standard, I'm sensitive yet critical. I'm most hard on myself, yet it is hard for me to be that way towards other people. I am definately creative. Vocal performance is my field.

ENFJ - I've always been outgoing, and have relied on my intuition for all my relationships with others. I've taken another test where I was "ENFP" - but I belive I'm more judging.

I'm ENFJ inside and out. It's frustrating and a joy all at once to read what various web pages have to say about my type. ENFJs aren't perfect, but it's nice to think so!

As a stereotypical INTP, I fit almost every description. Often time aloof and scatterbrained, I've been labeled a "space cadet" by more than a few people. I am really a great guy once you get to know me. But as an INTP, getting to know me is virtually impossible as I hardly know myself.

Oh My Gosh! I don´t even know what to say...I really got suprised and amazed!!!!!!...I can´t barely imagine if I could "describe" myself better than this. But I must add that I may be 95% a ENFJ person...the other 5% include my character and my experiences of life, and these things are completely different from any "personality type" and can´t be included in a "closed" definition:)

I am compelled to care about my people, which could be everyone. I am an outrageous socialist and have a quick wit. I am hypersensitive when it comes to changes in my environment or my current conditions. WE ENJF's aren't perfectionists ENTIRELY, like our INFJ sisters, WE MUST BE EXCELLENT. We EXCEL in what we put our MINDS to. Learning something is so much more worth while when you can "MATER-MIND" what we've learned. Since education is so big for us ENFJ's & INTP's, it's no surprise that ENFJ's are great at seeing what others are paying attention to. We can grab minds out of what they're doing with a insightful and meaningful blurb that is excellently CONSTITUENT with what they were pondering. As ENFJ's, were looking for a INTP mates because they have the potential to complement each other best, because we love people who love to ponder. _INTP women, LOOK NO FURTHER. :)_ Teachers love to come up with critically insightful observations that benevolently change social dynamics. In fact, we SEE things as dynamics; because of our hypersensitivity to change, we begin to view life as an amorphous web of cause and effect. We tap into this "matrix" by the use of our ability to sense the change in functions and predict outcomes; this is known as INTROJECTIVE ESP. (INFJ's can be best at PROJECTIVE ESP.) So my best strength is giving advice to change the dynamics or attitudes that people have with each other. That's enough for now, e-mail me if you want to learn about this subject or anyone; I'll be doing my thesis on temperament and I love sharing. [ latentorganization@yahoo.com ]

Jo on October 19, 2004 06:47 PM
Very idealistic. Like people, even like public speaking. Love to make a difference. I consider my job a vocation or calling (teaching piano). On the borderline for E/I. Have wavered between jobs working alone and with people. Best one-on-one with people. I used to think I was INFP. But I'm more extraverted as I get older and also more J as I like things to be settled and decided and dislike doing things spur of the moment.

seokwun on November 26, 2004 12:41 AM
I'm now in my thirties. Having made my way through life to date relying on my intuition and ability to understand and relate to people. I have done many things and really struggled to find happiness. I have great abilities - I can make people happy whilst working as a team we all turn ideas to flesh and deliver the goods. Many of the submissions on this site praise the accuracy - I can add my voice to that. This is something I should have done much earlier. I have taken many such tests over the last few days inc New Year's Eve 2005! How practical eh? Yes I am a definitive ENFJ. Yes there are great aspects to such a personality but there are (like life itself) many downsides. I struggle to release relationships, jobs, etc. I can go into deep depressions - withdrawing from life and people, the very things I need. Then I recover, find a new project and I'm unstoppable, organised and inspirational. I am truly idealistic and loyal. I have often walked into exploitation. I am at a junction in my life where I need to be more aware of my weaknesses and play to my strengths. I MUST stop taking my abilities for granted and stop thinking or saying "everyone can do it" - Everyone can't do it! Though I couldn't help look to see how many people were ENFJ - expecting everyone to be! Obvioulsy it is not a competition and it takes all types to make a world. I'm not going to start fighting for "ENFJ United" everywhere - though if you ask I will check my diary! However, I do feel this foray into personality testing has given me a tool and most importantly a key to begin objectively appraising myself and looking to the future. In my search of "trying to put my finger on it" (ie my problem) I have spent too much time looking at childhood and the past etc. Anyway it's only a small text box so I'll end here. However, in true ENFJ character type I set myself the objective of filling the box and I've filled the box! I'd be happy to hear from any types and wish you all the very best in your lives. It's not always easy but it can be great. OH NOw what next? synapse1@hotmail.com

Everyway, except that I have found as I age - I'm 34 right now - I have become more introverted. I think before doing more than I used to, and I am liking smaller groups better than I used to, but not to the point that it defines me. ENFJ has been right on since 1991.
Sharon Mercer on March 7, 2005 11:49 AM
Well, my type fits me well. I'm extermely ENFJ. Barbrara, the short grouping of attributes definitely does work as well. It boils down to the ENFJ combination being a definite "type" of person, of which there are about sixteen types total. So, you can describe the person that fits the "type" pretty well if you've been able to nail down a few of them. ;-)

I often try to deny being an ENFJ, because they will be hurt so easily since they blame themselves for everything and they put themselves before others. But I am definately an ENFJ, no matter what! I was recently hurt by someone I love, I can't stop blaming myself, even though I know I shouldn't. The ENFJ in me is just terrible when these things happen. But I don't think I want to be any other types. I believe in my values.
Ju on October 9, 2005 06:02 AM
ENFJ - exactly me, but sometimes I can be a INFJ as well (like my big sister). Sometimes I find that I far too much into details, organizing - that i have little energy left to TAKE ACTION. I can plan and plan and plan and think and think, but have trouble taking action. I am not sure if other ENFJ feel that way! Oh yes, I tend to get along really well with adults/authority figures...because I am always ready to please & be accomodating as much as possible (even if that puts me under some strain). I am not competitive by nature - I rather watch everyone succeed in there own way. I cannot stand pretenious, overly-competitive, uncaring, selfish folks who rather make life difficult for everyone else. Sometimes I don't understand people's unwillingness to be open (expressive & willing to take a risk in revealing their true selves with fearing that they are being harshly judged/criticized). That confuses me at times. Oh yes, I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree majoring in sociology - how appropriate for the ENFJ. As I cannot stand the math/sciences.

I am so much an ENFJ that after years of working with children as a preschool teacher i went back to university to get the degrees needed to work with parents on establishing better relationships and then I opened a business, rather, created a career for myself to teach others as a relationship coach for families going through separation or divorce.

Im an ENFJ in everyway! well, except for one thing. I was confused when i read that sometimes ENFJ's look down on others that are of lower "status." not true at all. I dont even give myself a status first of all, second i would never want anyone to feel that weren't accepted or that i looked down on them. I try my best to never ever judge and if/when i do, i try to overcome it by getting to know the person and understand them because there is no reason anyone is above or below anyone else. other than that it fit my personality pretty much perfectly :)

I am so hard on myself its is almost like a hate of me. Rarely if ever feeling acceptance, even when people pretty much tell me so... like its not enough. To be honest I really need some feedback from you folks if at all possible. I have been very troubled lately.

This is ridiculously acurate! i have always felt that i was able to get along with so many different types of people; the metal lovers, ballet dancers, chavs and none of my groups of friends mix with each other...maybe its that chameleon effect of displaying just the right parts of your personality to fit with who your with. I also am a Psychology Teacher and i have always been renound for encouraging other people! Hope is a wonderful thing!! There are so many oppertunities for us all and you've just got to seize them!! hey, the definition makes a lot of sense to me now, i spent ages tryin to make someone understand my puppetmastery as i call it, and they said thats just beiong manipulative and i spent ages protesting how that wasnt true and its for there own good, which didnt work well and i couldnt explain it in words, it is fun tho? which i makes me wonder if thats bad? i always keep all groups of friends seperate they would never get along so guess that shows the chamelon effect, like sammyapple i get on with practically anyone with one on one time. it is a nightmare in some work enviroments tho as i get everyones opinions and try to make everyone feel better and listen to everyones complaints about each other which is a little awkward, but hey at least im liked :) i dont think ive ever looked down on so called lower types before tho. the ponly thing i can think of that is similar is i used to hang around with this really shy boy that no one liked in school, i guess to try to encourage him to fit in, after 2 years not much changed and then he said something really shitty to me icant remeber what it was but then the judging side came out i think, and i never spoke to him again lol seems pretty crazy now it was a long time ago. other than that im always planing some grand scheme like travelling which im going to do again after going around the world once, i also lived in several hostels for a few months at a time, and i found being seperated from that collective extremely hard when i got back. im goign into the arts field to do fashion buying.
Jon on August 6, 2009 02:13 PM
Constantly mediate for people who don't ask for it, feel the need to be a buffer zone between people. Complete people's thoughts for them, if only to try and help. Want the things that I do to be enjoyed by others. I love to have the answers that people need...
